What works, what does not, and where to save your own Stories
Ephemeral Stories are not stable public URLs. Reels and public posts work with the Instagram downloader.
Overview
Most Instagram Stories expire and are not exposed as durable public URLs. PasteGrab cannot bypass Story privacy or login walls.
Public Reels and feed posts are supported: copy the share link, paste into PasteGrab, and download MP4 or MP3.
For your own Stories, use Instagram’s archive. PasteGrab works with public Reels and posts that have shareable links.

How it works
Open the public Instagram post and copy its share link. A direct link looks like https://www.instagram.com/reel/DWgvoQ3jcFs/. A profile or search page will not work.
Paste the link into PasteGrab. Pick Best quality, MP4, MP3, 720p, or Smallest file before you preview it.
Select Preview formats to confirm the title, length, and available files. If the page is private or unavailable, you will see an error before starting a download.
Start the job and follow its progress. When the file is ready, use the download link to save it to your device.

Output
PasteGrab exposes format presets before preview and may reveal additional streams afterward depending on what Instagram publishes for that URL. Video pages typically offer MP4 output; audio-heavy Instagram posts may map cleanly to MP3.
If you need the smallest possible file for messaging apps or email attachments, choose Smallest file. For archival or re-editing, start with Best quality and only downshift if storage or bandwidth requires it.
