Instagram link invalid? Fix downloader preview errors

Invalid link patterns

Profile URLs (instagram.com/username) are not video links. Stories share links are usually ephemeral. URLs from Explore search are not post permalinks. Private accounts redirect to login and will not preview.

Copy the correct link

Open the Reel → Share → Copy link. You should see instagram.com/reel/… or /p/…

On desktop use the … menu → Copy link on the post.

Paste immediately — some share tokens expire.

After preview succeeds

Pick MP4 for video or MP3 for audio before Start download.

Carousel posts: ensure you selected a video slide, not a photo carousel.
