Overview
PasteGrab is a browser-based YouTube downloader for public links you are licensed to save. Paste a youtube.com or youtu.be watch link URL, preview available formats, and download MP4 or MP3 without installing an app.
This page documents supported link shapes, format presets, and troubleshooting when YouTube pages do not resolve. Age-restricted, private, members-only, and live streams may not resolve. YouTube may throttle datacenter IPs occasionally.
The downloader uses yt-dlp server-side. When YouTube changes page structure or blocks datacenter IPs, preview may fail even though the same link works in your browser — retry later or from a different network.
Only download media you own or have permission to archive. Private, login-only, DRM-protected, and geo-blocked pages are outside scope.

Open the YouTube page in your browser and copy the address bar URL or the platform's share link. For YouTube, working links usually match patterns like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ. Avoid profile homepages or search results — PasteGrab needs the direct page that contains the media file.
Return to this page, paste the URL into the downloader bar, and select Best quality, MP4, MP3, 720p, or Smallest file before you preview the formats.
